2013 ING NYC Marathon

Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund is excited to announce that, through the generosity of the New York Road Runners, we have again been able secure charity slots for the 2013 ING NYC Marathon on Sunday, November 3rd. These charity slots are available IN ADDITION to the slots that were deferred from the 2012  marathon which was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy.

To secure a slot please email Mary McHugh at racing@leadthewayfund.org by Friday, June 7th.  Once your slot has been secured, please fill out and email or fax the registration form located below.

Please note:

*Team Army Ranger runners must commit to the minimum fundraising requirement of $3,000.
*Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund will be hosting a pre-race pasta dinner the night before for all of our runners.
*All Team Army Ranger runners will receive Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund running gear including a training shirt, race day pinney, visor and Lead The Way Fund backpack.

ING NYC Marathon 2012

Thank you for your interest in the 2012 ING NYC Marathon.  All Lead The Way Fund slots have been filled.

Runners who have secured a slot in the ING NYC Marathon, please visit the Lead The Way Fund First Giving website to setup your fundraising page and then you can start collecting donations from friends and family.

About the ING NYC Marathon

  • Lead the Way Fund, Inc. has secured charity spots for the marathon! Contact Lead The Way with interest in securing a slot.
  • The marathon is 26.2 miles through all five boroughs of New York City
  • Charity runners commit to raising $3000 for the Lead The Way Fund, Inc.
  • Charity runners will receive a training shirt, race day shirt, marathon eve pasta dinner and admission to the post-race party.

The Army Ten-Miler

The Lead the Way Fund is pleased to announce that we have secured slots at the Army Ten-Miler race on October 9, 2011 in Washington, D.C.   All remaining slots will be filled on a first come-first served basis.  We hope that you will be able to race for us or at least come out and support our runners.  All funds raised by our runners will go directly to the Lead the Way Fund to support our ongoing programs and initiatives.

Each year tens of thousands of runners and spectators come to Washington, DC to join in this race classic. Produced by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington, the Army Ten-Miler proceeds support Army Morale, Welfare and Recreation, a comprehensive network of support and leisure services designed to enhance the lives of soldiers and their families. The race starts and finishes at the Pentagon, passing by DC landmarks including the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and the Capitol Building.  For more details about the race as well as the activities that will take place in conjunction with the event, please visit the Army Ten-Miler website at www.armytenmiler.com.

Racing Requirements:

Please note that in order to qualify for a Lead the Way Fund slot, each Participant is asked to raise $500 on behalf of the Lead the Way Fund.  To sign up for one of the remaining Lead the Way Fund slots, please email your interest to racing@leadthewayfund.org by August 1, 2011.
