Financials & Accountability

Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund is devoted to the highest standards of excellence to attain our financial goals.

Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund is a 501 (c)(3), tax exempt, non-profit charitable organization. We are audited annually and the reports are posted for public review and publication, as is the annual IRS 990 filing.

Our Rangers are among the most disciplined and skilled warriors in the world and, with elements having been continuously deployed every single day since 9/11, are a severely pressured force. We continue to analyze and improve our assistance programs to ensure the programs evolve as the ongoing needs of our Rangers and their families do.

LTWF is the only benevolent organization of its kind working to give financial assistance specifically to the U.S. Army Rangers and their families. Once the U.S. Special Operations Command Warrior Care Program (Care Coalition) determines the needs not being covered by the government or Veterans Affairs, LTWF provides grants to ensure these vital needs do not go unmet.

Since 2007, Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund has distributed over $7,000,000 in support to both our Active Duty and Veteran Rangers and over 4,000 Ranger families benefit from our support on a yearly basis.

With a staff of two full-time employees and three part-time employees, LTWF remains among the top tier in efficiency among benevolent organizations.

In 2013, Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund was awarded the Independent Charities Seal of Excellence (ICA) after demonstrating, on an annual basis, that we meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness. Only 5% of 1 million charities meet or exceed these standards and fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this Seal of Excellence.
