Christopher Keen – Cooperstown Marathon

This June I will be running the Cooperstown marathon. While you would like to think training to run 26.2 miles is enough motivation I figured I would need something else to work towards to ensure I keep it going. While there are many causes close to my heart those that know me best understand how much I support our armed forces. As a teacher at Manhasset High School I have witnessed the great work the Lead the Way fund does in honor of Sgt. James Regan, former Manhasset resident, who was killed by an IED in Northern Iraq while serving as a member of the Army Rangers in 2007. While I never met Sgt. Regan it is stories like his that make me proud to call myself an American. Sgt. Regan is a true hero and I hope to raise money to help the great work his family is doing in his honor.  To learn more about the Lead the Way fund visit https://www.leadthewayfund.org/sgt-james-j-regan/
