War Dog: A Soldier’s Best Friend – HBO Documentary Films

Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund is so incredibly honored to have been asked by HBO Documentary Films, Director Deborah Scranton, Executive Producer Channing Tatum and, most humbling to us, the Rangers featured in this documentary, to be a partner for this film.

Please tune in to HBO on NOVEMBER 13th to watch this incredible documentary about three Army Ranger K9 handlers and the bond, the love, the loyalty and, in some cases, the heartbreak, of their relationships with the dogs they trained, cared for and fought along side.

Autryville, NC-Monday October11, 2017 – Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund and retired Five-Time NFL Pro Bowler, Jared Allen, and his foundation, Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors are excited to announce their recent collaboration effort to purchase land, build and donate a mortgage-free handicap accessible home in Autryville, NC to local wounded war veteran, Master Sergeant retired Chris Corbin. Since 2007, Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund has been dedicated to assisting our active duty & wounded elite Special Operations U.S. Army Rangers, and the families of Rangers who have been killed, with health, wellness and other financial aid programs beyond what the Government and Veterans Affairs are able to offer.

Founded in 2009 Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors raises money to build and remodel mortgage-free, 100-percent handicap accessible homes to suit the individual needs of our injured United State military veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan. To date the foundation has completed 9 custom homes for critically wounded veterans across the country.

The home for MSG Corbin will be the second collaboration between the Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund and Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors. The foundations previously partnered to build a handicap accessible home for Army Ranger Cory Remsburg in Arizona.

South Eastern General Contractors will complete the home build. When the 2800 sq ft home is completed it will include adaptations making it easier for MSG Corbin in his daily life. The entire home will be 100-percent handicap accessible and tailored specifically with MSG Corbin’s injuries in mind.

“Jared Allen and his team are the utmost professionals and we are pleased to continue our alliance with them to provide this accessible home for Master Sergeant (Ret.) Corbin,” stated Jim Regan, Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund Chairman & CEO.  “Chris epitomizes what it means to be a Ranger and Special Forces Operator with his intestinal fortitude, determination and his never surrender attitude. This home is well-deserved and LTWF is privileged to be able to help make this happen for him,” Regan added.

“When I first heard about Chris’ story I knew he was someone that we had to help.  Through our partnership with Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund we were able to purchase land in Autryville to build Chris and brand new, 100-percent customized handicap accessible home. We knew right away that this was a perfect partnership between our two organizations and together we could make a true positive impact in the life of another hero. We look forward to completing this home for Chris Corbin and continuing to work with The Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund.” –Jared Allen
