RANGERS

United States Army Rangers, known as the 75th Ranger Regiment, are the premier light-infantry of the U.S. Army and serve as part of the U.S. Special Operations Command. They are the most elite, highly trained light infantry that the United States military deploys in time of need. Since 1943, the motto of the 75th Ranger Regiment has been "Rangers lead the Way!" They are the tip of the spear in times of military conflict and, historically, they have been the first group of combat men to engage the enemy.

The 75th Ranger Regiment remains on a high level of readiness. Each of its three battalions can deploy anywhere in the world within eighteen hour notice. To maintain this level of readiness, Rangers train constantly. Their training encompasses arctic, jungle, desert, and mountain operations, as well as amphibious capabilities. These men train at night on difficult terrain, in adverse weather conditions, with additional focus on realism through live fire exercise. Being a Ranger is a function of attitude and state of mind, as well as a matter of skill and training. To be a Ranger is a mark of excellence indicating a degree of success that few will achieve.
