If you would like to create a fundraising page independent of any official events – for instance, if you are doing your own athletic endeavor, or if you’re creating a page in memory of a loved one – here are the steps you will need to follow.
- Go to the Lead The Way Fund FirstGiving start page.
- Click on the green Start Fundraising button.
- Select the type of fundraising activity you are doing. Choose from the dropdown menu (bottom) labeled “Doing something we haven’t listed?”. The drop down is at the bottom of all the events listed. Be sure to Click the Green Select button.
- Answer some basic questions about the duration of your fundraising, and, if you’re doing a sporting event, the date of the event.
- Enter your email address and, if you already have a FirstGiving account, your password. If you don’t have a FirstGiving account, leave the password field blank and just click Continue.
- If you are new to FirstGiving, you’ll create your account on this page by entering some information about yourself,creating a password, and choosing your profile address. If you already have an account, this step will be skipped for you.
- Select the address for your page.
- Edit your page – then, share it with family and friends!
