The North Face Endurance Challenge returns to Algonkian Regional Park, Great Falls Park and the Potomac Heritage Trail. The course keeps runners on their toes with ever-changing terrain. The course consists of mainly single and double track with a few spots of carriage road in the mix.
A hardy test for trail runners of any level, The North Face Endurance Challenge New York winds along the western shores of the Hudson River and through the craggy foothills of the Catskill Mountains. Expect enough rocks and challenging terrain along the course to keep you engaged, but not enough to prevent you from running the majority of the race.
Wachusett Mountain creates the setting for this race where on a clear day features views of Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire, the Berkshires to the west, and the Boston skyline to the east. Runners will navigate the trails of DCR Wachusett Mountain, summiting on multiple occasions before hopping on the Midstate Trail to DCR Leominster State Forest home of scenic ridgelines and lakeshore views. The terrain ranges from rolling unpaved fire roads to more technical, single track and multi-use trails.
An ideal course layout for elite speedsters and those taking their first strides in the world of ultra trail running, The Endurance Challenge Wisconsin course is run-able from start to finish, provided that you’ve trained properly. A large portion of the course takes place on the renowned Ice Age Trail located 60 miles southeast of Madison in the southern reaches of the picturesque Kettle Moraine State Park.
The North Face Endurance Challenge Series’ expansion into the “mountain” region of the United States at Park City Mountain Resort, is located 20 miles outside of Salt Lake City. This race course will not only start at the highest elevation within the North America series at 7,000 feet but it will also climb to the highest elevation of 10,000 feet. The North Face Endurance Challenge cruises along the Wasatch Back, part of the Wasatch Mountain Range in the resort destination of Park City. Athletes will navigate this world-renowned ski destination using a mix of double and single track trail, ski runs, mountain bike trails and various dirt access roads. Bring your lungs and legs and be prepared to be awestruck.
Located in the visually stunning Marin Headlands, The North Face Endurance Challenge Championship course engages runners with both scenic views and drastic elevation change.
